Tina Loder - Bespoke Tailoring in Norfolk

An outline of the process of having something made.

I make most of the tailored items in a man’s wardrobe.

All the work is done by hand in England. I do the measuring, cutting and fitting. The sewing is done by skilled Savile Row tailors. Six people concentrate on making a suit. It takes forty hours just to sew it.

The cloth is mainly English or Scottish, occasionally Italian. I have a large range from numerous merchants and suppliers which I show you in bunches. I find out roughly what you want and bring you a carefully chosen selection.

We meet either at your place of work, your home or my base. You choose the cloth and linings, decide on the style and I take your measurements. This takes around half an hour.

After two weeks we meet again for the first fitting which takes about fifteen minutes. Two weeks later the suit is ready for the second fitting. Two weeks after that it is finished.

A suit will normally take 6 weeks to complete but this is dependant on the customer being available at the time for fittings.

What is the cost of this service?

A business or country suit is £1,200. Extra trousers are £260. A jacket is £750. A dinner jacket is £1,400. Shooting kit with plus 4s is around £1,200. An overcoat starts at £1,000 depending on the cloth chosen.
